This means you've left Leon

But guess what ? You are now on a 4 km route through western Leon or hailes as they call it in Edinburgh - it's certainly not barnton! The guys operating the cranes are just spotters - as soon as you leave your hoose the van is round there - there was a lovely woman sweeping up the glass from the might before and numerous dogs barking at postmen long since departed.

Yes, the camino is like life itself some parts you don't need to taste to know how bad they are and others like the silence of the meseta are hidden gems.

I said at tea tonight the ringing in my ears was at it's highest for ages. No siesta for me as the tinnitus gave vent. The silence of the last week had crept up on us all and only with the cacophony of the traffic and the city did it come home. Some of our camino pals took the train too soon but the plan was a good one, they should've enjoyed another tranquil day but don't walk next to roads without ear plugs, in fact forget the plugs, don't walk next to roads!
